AP Literature Summer Assignments: Welcome!
Please read this welcome letter and review of your summer assignments. This will be a challenging, but beautiful class for you. Please note that I expect you to read and struggle with this assignment, I do not expect perfection! I have also attached a double entry journal template for you to use. Please create a word document or Google doc using this template and share it with me. In addition to reading this letter and reviewing assignment requirements, please complete each module below before the first week of school (including the videos)!

Novel of Choice and Reading Literature Like a Professor
In this module, you will be required to read "How to Read Literature like a Professor". Please remember to complete 10 dialectical (double entry) journal entries for this book as well as the two short stories assigned below. Once you select a work of literature from the approved list (see the summer assignment/welcome letter above), please complete the review of the work attached below. This can be printed or completed as a Google doc, your choice! Please remember, this assignment will lean on your ability to read and teach yourself some key concepts through your reading. Rely on "How to Read Literature Like a Professor" to guide you, but you may need to do some independent research to complete the novel review! I don't expect perfection, just a good honest effort!

Here are the short stories that you will be reading over the summer. Please read them and complete a minimum of five dialectical journal entries for each.
