Math 3/23 - 3/27

4/17/2024

Hello Students and Families,

This week, each class will be completing a project-based lesson on a given standard (except 8th grade who will have multiple standards). The standard we will be working on is listed at the top of each grade level web page (see the tabs above). As a reminder, I will not be on campus Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday as I'll be at another school site conducting an accreditation visit.

Students will receive direct instruction from me on Monday 3/23 to review the concepts which will be used throughout the week. Students will be required to take notes during this lesson to refer to. Students for all grades will be receiving a project packet either on Monday or Tuesday. They may work independently, with a partner, or with small groups. Students who struggle to follow expectations may be asked to work independently.

Resource videos have been posted here (look for your grade tab) that review key concepts needed to complete each project lesson. It is strongly encouraged that students watch these videos at home to reinforce the lesson given at the beginning of the week. They may also refer to these videos at any point during the project. There is an optional homework assignment for these videos. Students may complete the assignment for credit toward their grade. Students who choose not to complete this assignment will not have it included in their final grade calculation, and it will not count against them.

There will be a Q & A Board available under the "Resources" tab. I will make every effort to try to answer questions posted here during the week, however I may be a bit slow to respond. Questions that remain unanswered at the end of the week will be responded to either on Friday or the following week.
